.Net Fullstack Developer

Invisor is an innovative and growing financial services company that provides online investment management, insurance, and financial planning solutions to Canadians. The firm is seeking a Developer in Oakville, Ontario.

 

The Developer will be responsible for building .NET Web API services using C#, T-SQL. His or her primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

 

The ideal candidate has can work on specific projects in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Can communicate effectively and is well organized. He or she can also offer up advice on development and architecture or introduce the latest and greatest in technology that would benefit the team, the company and (most importantly!) the clients.

 

The Job:

 

The Developer will work closely with the Lead Developer and the management team in the development of the following key areas:

 

  • Develop performant web API according to business requirements.
  • Support software development and testing throughout the software development lifecycle including script writing and execution, defect resolution and release support.
  • Facilitate deployment of changes
  • Integration with the front-office systems and company’s third-party providers of SaaS solutions

 

What we are looking for:

 

Someone with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related study or equivalent work experience, plus:

  • 5+ years of Microsoft technology stack development including: .Net, C#, IIS, MS SQL
  • 5+ years API architecture and development
  • 4+ years of design SQL Server stored procedures and functions.
  • 5+ years using source code version (Git)
  • 4+ years using MS SQL
  • Strong comprehension of development and security practices.
  • Able to convey and understand ideas with great communication skills.

 

Someone very experienced in:

 

  • Understanding of how to write web services, business objects and other middle-tier framework using the .NET framework
  • Unit testing and integration testing
  • Working in an Agile environment – Jira

 

Desired skills

 

  • HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and Angular/React experience
  • PHP and WordPress
  • MySQL

 

Someone highly skilled at writing clear and concise requirements documents, writing use-cases, and documenting process flows, and who has a proven record of working well with business stakeholders.

 

Someone who has preferably applied all the above skills in the financial services industry.

Bilingual Associate, Client Service

As a result of our significant growth, we are seeking a Bilingual Associate, Client Service. You will be working closely with our clients and advisors to assist them with questions about our platform. This position is for someone who enjoys the challenge of juggling multiple priorities, in a fast‐paced environment, while delivering timely and friendly service.

 

The Job:

 

As one of the first and most important points of contact for our clients and advisors, you’ll engage with our clients and advisors online and over the phone and provide timely and accurate responses to incoming inquiries about our platform.

 

You will help guide clients through the functionality of our platform, ensure all documentation require to open and fund their accounts is received and processed in a timely manner and assist in the creation of user support guides and training material.

 

What we are looking for:

 

Someone with a Post‐secondary education in business, financial services, or another relevant field.

 

Someone with customer service experience, ideally in a financial services environment. Or if you have other experience in customer service that you think would be a good fit, tell us more.

 

Some knowledge of financial products, and an interest to learn more.

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.

 

Someone with A LOT of attention to detail, high energy, and willingness to learn.

Product Owner

Invisor is an innovative and growing financial services company that provides online investment management, insurance, and financial planning solutions to Canadians. The firm is seeking a Product Owner in Oakville, Ontario. In this position, you will be actively involved in the creation of business requirements as well as the development, enhancement and expansion of our current product. You will work closely with our amazing leadership team to continue to build an online platform that helps thousands of people make their financial dreams a reality. This position is for someone who enjoys the challenge of juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while being actively involved in testing.

 

The job:

 

  • Working closely with leaders, executives and stakeholders to understand and refine business requirements
  • Building, maintaining and documenting our product roadmap
  • Creating, managing and being a good steward of our product backlogs
  • Owning the delivery process from the business side and helping to improve our value stream from conceptualization through delivery
  • Working closely day-to-day with our development teams and product leadership to:
    • Create and maintain a shared vision, understanding and sense of purpose
    • Provide the right inputs for development (story writing, backlog grooming, sprint planning)
    • Clarify requirements and intentions as development progresses
    • Remove impediments
  • Monitoring the progress of projects through the development lifecycle, making sure deliverables are correct and have been tested properly
  • Reporting and ensuring visibility for senior management
  • Documenting issues/bugs/fixes and technical debt, and creating a plan to address them
  • Participating in various documentation efforts (user training, process, KB, etc.)
  • Adapting and growing with the role as we grow and mature
  • Helping to push us forward

 

What we are looking for: 

 

  • A laser focus on our customers and on building a platform that both addresses their needs and provides them with the best possible experience
  • Previous experience working in a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst capacity in a product-focused Agile software development shop
  • Significant experience uncovering, formulating and documenting business requirements for complex systems
  • Experience creating and monitoring product roadmaps, ensuring impeccable documentation through all phases
  • Experience with all parts of the development lifecycle & working closely with QA
  • Experience documenting issues, bugs, fixes, technical debt and creating plans to stay balanced and on track
  • Exceptional attention to detail & the ability to prioritize concurrent projects
  • A passion for delivering quality products
  • A commitment to continued learning and improvement
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related (strongly preferred)
