As Co-Founder and CEO, Pramod wears multiple hats, but his key focus is building the right team so we can serve our clients’ needs by creating a great client experience. After all, Pramod says, it’s the people that make the real difference!
Pramod has been in financial services for over two decades, and has had the opportunity to work for highly reputed firms in Canada, most recently TD Asset Management, and in the international markets. He has achieved MBA and CFA designations, proving that there’s great value in laying a strong educational foundation.
With two teenagers at home and a business to build, spare time has been rare for Pramod, but he’s having a lot of fun staying involved in his kids’ activities, whether it’s soccer or piano. He likes to get out to play a game or two of cricket, especially on a nice weekend, to spend time with friends and relax. Pramod also mentors new immigrants to Canada to help them develop professionally and integrate into the Canadian work-life sooner.
As Co-Founder and COO, Dan does a little of everything. He’s mainly responsible for ensuring our online experience is as intuitive, fresh, and innovative as possible for our clients, and that our team and business partners deliver great service. As a licensed insurance advisor, Dan also leads the team that handles our clients’ insurance needs.
Dan has worked for and with a lot of great financial services companies, including Munich Re, Desjardins Financial Security, and Great-West Life, helping get great products to market and empowering advisors to work with their clients to provide the best solutions to meet their needs.
Working in an online environment means Dan is in front of computers for a good part of the day, so in his spare time he likes to be outside – cycling, golfing, or hiking with his wife and their Labrador retriever, Guinness. He is also a very accomplished 3-chord campfire guitar player.
Josh oversees our investment strategy and works with clients on a daily basis. Josh says he’s had a lot of fun in the start-up environment and enjoys learning new skills, like figuring out how to publish our Market Update videos, although he says his new video and sound editing abilities are on par with your average 10-year-old.
Josh grew up working at his dad’s restaurant, and then spent 9 years at TD Bank, working his way from the branch to the trading desk at TD Asset Management, and finally to a position where he oversaw the implementation of individual and institutional portfolios.
Outside of the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife love hosting dinners and planning events (usually something competitive, if he gets his way). Josh keeps active by playing golf, hockey, baseball and squash.
As Marketing Manager, Melissa develops and implements our digital and traditional marketing programs. This includes analyzing data and online activity, creating content, managing our social media accounts (she’ll respond to your tweets and comments), and leveraging and strengthening the Invisor brand through all marketing initiatives.
Melissa graduated with a degree in media studies, and has a background in internal communications and marketing in the financial sector.
Outside of work, Melissa can be found spending time outdoors, staying active, and accumulating stamps in her passport. When she’s lucky, all three overlap. She leaves books all over the house, can line dance to a few dozen country songs, and considers brunching a hobby (and, obviously, a verb)…
As Lead Developer, Ryszard makes sure our systems are secure, responsive, and always ‘on.’ This requires him to wear many hats within the office: system architect, database designer and administrator, web developer, and quality assurance person.
Ryszard holds over twenty years of experience in the financial, telecommunication, and IT industries working with, and consulting for, top Canadian brands. One of his biggest projects was architecting and designing a large enterprise integration system managing over a hundred billion dollars in assets.
Outside of work, Ryszard likes to spend his time outdoors: skiing in the winter, and hiking in the summer.
As Senior Developer, Ian manages the Invisor website and is constantly developing new features and easy to use tools to improve our platform. Everything you see, from the Get Started page to your Dashboard, is created with Ian’s finesse, making sure the online experience is smooth and that it supports the look and feel of our brand.
Ian has been a programmer for over a decade, and has developed a jack-of-all trades style portfolio by working with a diverse set of clientele.
When Ian’s not programming at work, he’s programming for fun. He enjoys making web-apps and micro-sites for board games that help players with the rules or bookkeeping. Fun fact: Ian has over 135 board games crammed into six tall bookshelves, and has developed an app to select the game he’ll play based on the number of players available.
